Five Divisions. One Stage.
1A — String Trick
The classic division. One yo-yo, one string, infinite possibilities. String tricks, slacks, whips, and tech.
2A — Two-Hand Looping
Two yo-yos, both hands. Rapid-fire loops, wraps, and around-the-worlds. Pure speed and control.
3A — Two-Hand String
Two yo-yos, one in each hand, both doing string tricks. The most technically demanding division.
4A — Off-String
The yo-yo leaves the string. Aerial catches, boomerangs, and high-flying tricks. Crowd favourite.
5A — Counterweight
A counterweight replaces the finger loop. Unique physics, creative freedom, and endless style.
Common Questions
Who can compete?
SYYC is open to all skill levels and nationalities. Whether it's your first competition or your fiftieth, there's a division for you.
What music should I use for my freestyle?
You must own the rights to your music or use royalty-free tracks. All music is subject to approval. Upload your track with your registration.
Can I enter multiple divisions?
Yes. You can register for as many divisions as you like. Each division requires a separate entry fee.
What should I bring on competition day?
Your yo-yo(s), backup string, competition music on a USB drive, and a valid ID for registration check-in.
Is there a spectators' fee?
No — spectator entry is completely free. Just register so we know how many people to expect. Bring your friends and family.
